Phoebe Genus is a self-taught dancer in urban/hip-hop styles and Afrobeats. Her love for dance first started when she was 14, by spending many summers learning the dances of her favourite celebrities like Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Aaliyah, and Janet Jackson. Since then, she joined, organized, and performed with various dance groups throughout high school and university. After finishing her Human Kinetics degree at the University of Ottawa, she decided to start her own business called FLVRFITT where she was able to share her love for Afrobeats dance and fitness with her community. Ms. Phoebe exudes so much energy and light when teaching, which makes dancing with her so much fun! Not only is she a specialist in Afrobeats, but she is also a qualified school teacher who brings a boatload of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to every session she teaches!
